A girls new photo

I think this article is very stupid and i think it is blown way out of proportion. I don't understand why the kids phones had to be confiscated and why people would be arrested of this. I feel bad for the girl who took the picture but she isnt smart for doing it in the first place, and the girl who sent the picture to everyone was wrong, but its the girl who took the picture in the first places fault.

Man and a goose form unlikely friendship and other stories

This article I read today was about a man who would visit his local park everyday and since he visited it so often a goose, which he named Maria, started following him around every time he was there. People didn't know what to think about it but it was normal for the guy who was being followed by the goose. Maria the goose is possesive of him and wont let other geese around him and doesn't like to be around other guys. They have formed a really close relationship and the man now doesnt eat poltury and loves birds and doesnt think they are stupid like how he used to think of them.

The fisher story was a well puttogether story but it was a really boring topic.

The biker story was a really well written B-Roll and it was top notch, but i really didnt enjoy the soundbites too much.

I really enjoyed the new home story, it was really heart-warming but the footage seemed to be all the same and repeated the same shots a lot.

In the last one i really didnt know if there was a stand up point because it wasnt noticeable at all.

Frank along with the other captains really helped the team. But since they are going to be gone, with the other seniors, the juniors and younger players need to step up. Darin Hugh, junior point guard, said some goals to help the boys have another successful season.

“We need to put in all our work in the off-season and get close again as a team.”

Active Voice Quiz

I did good on this quiz, but not perfect. I learned that when you use a by the... phrase you know it is passive. Also, by changing the subject around in the sentence you can change it from passive to active. I learned that if you want to change an active-voice sentence to passive voice, consider carefully who or what is performing the action expressed in the verb, and then make that agent the object of a "by the..." phrase.

Young Buck Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Gun Charges

The article I read today was about a rapper named Young Buck and he was found not guily in him courst case in Tennesse. In August 2004 International Revenue Service agents raided his house becaseu he was $300,000 in debt and when they were raiding his house they found a 40-caliber pistol and amunition that belonged to Young Buck. As a previoulsy convicted felony, stabbing someone at the Vibe awards in 2004, he is not allowed to possess  guns and he could face up to 10 years of prison if found guilty, but he wasn't found guilty.

East Coast Rapist

This article was about a rapist who has been wanted since about 1997. He was believed to be responsible for rapes and attacks on 17 women since 1997. When police came to pick him up and arrest him he asked them why they didn't come earlier? Two days before he appeared in court, he tried to hang himself with his clothes and tried to commit suicide. In 2007 the rapist went into an open window of an apartment and sexually assaulted a 27-year-old women while her 11-month-old son was in the room. The rape cases started back in 2006 and the most recent one was in 2009 on Halloween.

5 Things I learned from the Interview

Five things I learned from the Interview are:
- Green-light questions are open-ended questions.
-Yellow- light qestions are closed ended questions that are answered with a yes or no.
- Red-light questions are questions that are overly complicated and are loaded with lanugage, you should stay away from them.
- While listening to the person you are interviewing you should have good eye contact, nod and lean forward, and say things like "I see" to let them know you are listening.
- Some questions you should ask yourself to prepare for the interview are things like: What do I want to know? What does my audience want to know? ETC.

Roommate Charged in Stabbing Death of College Basketball Player

The article I read today was about a 21 year old college basketball player named Tina Stewart who was stabbed by her roommate Shanterrica Madden. When the police got a disturbance call on Wednesday they went to the room and found Tina Stewart dead with many stab wounds. The family and team were really upset but they are going to work through it together.

- Darin

Irish relish first trip to state

This aricle was about the Rosemount Irish girls hockey team who won out section. We (Eastview) played against them for the championship and we lost. Rosemount won by a score of 6-2 because we had our worst game of the year. We didn't play our game and it really showed. I do think Rosemount is a good but, but they only have like one actual good player and we just couldnt stop her i guess. They are more lucky then skilled, and we are the opposite. At the end of the article it says how Rosemount beat Edina and that is completley wrong because they got killed 6-0 and then they lost to Lakevill South 3-2 so their "fame" ended quite fast.

Jonesboro Shooting

I learned that a 13 year old and an 11 year old shot a school and killed 4 females and 1 teacher and wounded 9 students and 1 teacher. They only got jail time for 7 years. They believe that the 11 year old could be a serial killer because he once shot a hid in the face with a pellet gun and killed a cat one time.

I didn't understand this article because I'm not really into politics and whats going on in Wisconsin so it was hard for me to read this article without being distracted. I understanding that there is a bunch of protesting going on about budgets and the governor wants to bust the unions. I think that a bunch of people who didn't agree with it fled the state or something like that.

Jersey Shore

This article was about the espisode of Jersey Shore last night. The person who wrote it said some of their own opinions. For example, they said how they aren't surpsrised to see Sam and Ronnie fight, which is true. They summarized the episode which was very eventful. From Ronnie getting super drunk and throwing up in a bad, which supposedly had a pair of yoga pants in them according to the person who wrote the article, all the way to Pauly D actually inviting his stalker Danielle to the house! No one could believe he did that. Also Snooki found a guy at karma who she really liked and spent the night with. She took him to walk along the boardwalk the next morning but after she found out he was pretty much engaged she got mad and wanted to move on. He didn't and after calling her many times, Pauly D finally told him off and that was the end of that.

Evgeni Malkin returns on Friday

This article is about Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL team. He has been out for a couple of game with a bad sinus infection and a problem with his knee. Hti swill be a really good thing for the Penguins because both Malkin and Sidney Crosby, the two best offensive players for the Penguins. In previous times when Malkin has been out for injury, he has come back and done really well. The bad thing about this article is that the Penguins are now losing Mark Letestu becasue of knee sergury for about 4-6 weeks. He is a big help to the Penguins and it will be hard without him and Crosby.
