-She was the first black student to go into a all white school.
-When she first went to the school, people were taking the white kids out of class because they didnt want to have them be in the same school as a black kid.
-Disney made a TV movie about her experience.
-There was a book made about her and when her first grade teacher saw it she contacted Ruby and they reunited on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
